You can buy dog, but remember that it needs training; a picture is cute, but it doesn't say anything about the effort involved.
These pets originated from Old English Bulldogs, which were widely used as butcher dogs in the past. Bull baiting competitions also involved these dogs, and throughout centuries, these dogs developed very strong jaws. Modern descendants of the English Bull dog have inherited this feature.

Bull Terriers are compact in size, but very strong, agile and remarkably active. There are also Miniature Bull Terriers, standing 11-16 inches high. They are very much like their standard-sized counterparts, and size seems to be the only significant difference.
